Police looking for suspect after reported armed robbery

LACEY, Wash. — Police are searching for a suspect after a reported armed robbery Friday afternoon in Lacey.

The alleged robbery happened in the 600 block of Sleater Kinney Road after the victim told police he had just withdrawn money from an ATM.

A victim reported to police that he was getting in his car when a man got into the passenger side, officials said.

Police said the victim told officers the man pointed a gun at him, demanded money and told him to drive.

The man reported to police he went a short distance and then the man fled on foot, officials said.

Police did not say how much or if any money was taken.

A K-9 was used to track down a suspect, but he could not be found.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, blond hair and a “scraggly mustache,” according to police. He was also wearing a dark beanie cap and a brown jacket.
